A cosy Winter welcome

Hello Fifth Element Friends

I can't believe we are in June already. What an incredible 6 months I have had personally and professionally. Not unlike yourself I hear you say!

A lot has happened since my last blog. My incredibly beautiful and precious daughter Emily, married the most gorgeous man who I now have the honour of calling my son-in-law. It's a day every mother looks forward to and apart from the storms that arrived right at the time of the ceremony it was a touching day and filled me with so much pride and happiness. After being together for 10 years (college sweet hearts) it was wonderful to see two people still so in love to tie the knot.

I recently had a quick getaway to Noosa where I ate and drank my way through the day at the Food and Wine Festival, definitely recommend going. As a cooking show fanatic I was in my sixth element if you like, having had Miguel entertain us with his cheeky humour and then prepare a delicious spanish dinner right before I dashed back to the hotel to watch Meghan and Harry marry. I also learnt so much about food from other celebrity chefs including a lady who spoke about the processing of some food that we think is healthy and good for us but in fact due to the way its store isn't so great. For example vegies that are plastic wrapped in the fruit and veg aisle such as lettuce that are 'ready to eat' are actually sprayed with...wait for it...a sanitiser...WHAT!!! Apparently ingredients need to be listed on packaging but how it is packaged or processed doesn't, any wonder we have issues. Goes back to skin as well, make sure you know the food you are feeding your skin isn't full of nasties either, that's where we have done the homework for you.

On another note as many of you would know we had a little, okay a lot, of flooding occur early January which didn't set us on the best course for a new year. But I am so proud of my team for sticking by me, all the support they bestowed upon me along with the faith that we would get through it. And that we did! Although we have a couple of things that still need to be touched up, a fresh lick of paint, new beds and new carpet was certainly a positive outcome.

Speaking of positive, we have been extremely busy behind the scenes working on our new treatment menu to not only delight the senses but renew the body and mind. Stay tuned as we are releasing our new story and have some celebrations in mind to coincide with the release from 1 July 2018 and can't wait to share them with you.

Hope to see you spa soon.

With a smile
